I uninstalled all ATI stuff I had installed in the meantime.Īnd yes, as trubul says, mobility modder's no good. > so I think it would be a good idea to a) use a computer manufacturer's driver, not ATI's legacy versions and b) the VISTA version (at least in my case, as notebook was delivered with vista) Download ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 for Windows to display driver. This is the correct driver for an ATI X1400 on Lenovo: Video driver (ATI Mobility Radeon, FireGL PCI Express-2) for Windows Vista (32-bit, 64-bit) - ThinkPad R60, T60, T60p, Z61m, Z61p ("Video driver (ATI Mobility Radeon, FireGL PCI Express-2) for Windows Vista (32-bit, 64-bit) - ThinkPad R60, T60, T60p, Z61m, Z61"). finally solved in analogy to csae's solution! Yes! I had the same issue for a Lenovo t60 with ATI X1400 and a WSXGA+ Screen, W8 always saying the installed basic driver was fine.
